HSE & Sustainability

TNRCL seeks to comply with regulatory standards and practices for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and in accordance with the HSE Management Systems of our valued industry clients.

Since 1992, TNRCL has continuously strengthened its commitment to HSE and Quality, making HSE an integral part of our business activities. From 2012 to 2026, TNRCL successfully maintained the STOW-TT Contractor Certification, consistently meeting the rigorous HSE standards of Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector projects and other non-energy projects, through continual improvement, competent personnel and effective risk management.

Building on this foundation, TNRCL has now implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) certified to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety).

Our IMS ensures that quality, safety and environmental stewardship are embedded into every aspect of our operations, enabling us to deliver reliable, sustainable and client-focused solutions while driving continual improvement.

TNRCL’s IMS unifies quality, environment and safety into a single risk-based framework — driving consistency, compliance and continuous improvement across all operations.

Sustainability is a core part of TNRCL’s business philosophy. Our operations directly impact communities in which we operate, especially in Trinidad and Tobago, in particular South Trinidad; and the environment.

We are committed to protecting the environment by ensuring we meet regulatory standards for air emissions, brine discharge to sea, recycling of plastic bottles and responsible disposal and management of waste generated from our operations. TNRCL installed solar power at its Los Bajos Water Treatment plant, to reduce its carbon emissions footprint.

TNRCL seeks to be a responsible partner with the community, utilizing equal opportunity employment practices, using community based resources where applicable.

As a Level 1 Certified Member of the CARICOM Excellence Network, we are dedicated to continuous improvement, operational excellence and responsible growth.

Through our Integrated Management System, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint while delivering safe, efficient and sustainable solutions for our clients and stakeholders.
